Get Involved

How to get involved

Community is a big part of Thrift Week, and there are loads of ways to get involved!

Table top sales
Table top sales are a fantastically thrifty way to meet your neighbours, de-clutter your house and pick up a bargain or two. Think of it as a car boot – without the cars! With the whole of Warwickshire getting into the thrifty spirit, Thrift Week is a great time to get together with your community and organise table top sales in your street and beyond. And while you’re at it, why not set up a streetbank to make communicating with your neighbours even easier?

Visit an event
There are loads of free events to get involved in throughout Thrift Week, from bicycle health checks to the Spring Swap Shop. Whether you’re into make-do-and-mend or want to learn to grow your own veg, there’s something for you! Check our events page to find out what’s going on.

Join the conversation
You can get involved in Thrift Week via Twitter  (use #thriftweek) and Facebook  by sending us your thrifty ideas, experiences at our events and any photos you capture along the way. We’d love to hear from you!

Take advantage of special offers
Local businesses are running a whole host of offers and promotions throughout Thrift Week, to help you get the most from your cash. Perfect for savvy spenders and bargain hunters throughout Warwickshire! Take a look at our offers page to see what you can snap up.

Run your own event
If you have a passion for thrift, why not run your own event during Thrift Week? It could be anything from an upcycling masterclass to a thrifty cookery course. If you are planning your own event, get in touch and we’ll list it on the Thrift Week website.

Share your thrifty tales with us
Are you a champion upcycler or run an exceptionally green home? Email your thrifty achievements to info@thriftweek.co.uk and we’ll publish the best ones on our blog.
